Nordhavnsvej Tunnel - Copenhagen, Denmark

The Nordhavnsvej tunnel is a twin-tube tunnel, each 900 m long and 9,2 m wide. The tunnel is constructed in cast in-situ concrete. The tunnel is part of the connection between the densely populated and busy Nordhavnen area of Copenhagen and the Helsingør Highway, and will be connected to the future Copenhagen harbour tunnel extending under Copenhagen's northern harbour.

The City of Copenhagen and the project consultant, Ramboll, chose the TUNPROTEC® system due to:

  • TUNPROTEC® offered significantly less spatial requirements for pipes and valves
